In order to find out more about how rubber works, The Slingshot Channel uses a microscope to look at Thera band Gold in stretched and relaxed condition. The images are astounding!
In addition, insects and blood are microscoped, too.

The walkback slingshot was presented in an earlier video already, but due to the lack of space it wasn’t tested with steel balls before.
This test – requested by many viewers – was now performed. Watch how the team warms up and the reliably hit the hay bail from 44 yards distance!
The heavy steel ball goes in about two feet.
This weapon is highly portable and very powerful.
Also, as requested by the audience, the chest plate “Massacre Master” slingshot is tested on longer distances, too – with nice results.

This new video is actually more like a general update on things here at the Slingshot Channel.
See the pencil launcher with doubled up rubber and new, specifically made arrows, see the Cold Steel blowgun and a “rivalling” homemade rubber based “Hawaiian Speargun”, watch how the Cold Steel “Voyager” does against a Zombie Head simulating coconut, plus a “meat shoe”, and last not least look at the performance of the Cold Steel Shillelagh against coconuts in super slow motion.

They can – if fired from a powerful slingshot.
Marbles are often used as alternative slingshot ammo. In this regard, The Slingshot Channel tests two very common myths:
- Can marbles penetrate flesh?
- Will marbles shatter when they hit a hard surface?
These myths are checked out, using ballistic gelatin and a solid wall. See the harmless looking glass balls tearing the gelatin into shreds, and see how they chip stone shards from a massive rock…
The message is clear: Marbles are about as dangerous as steel balls when fired from a powerful slingshot.

Ballistic Gelatine is a certified material to test the impact of bullets and other projectiles. The material simulates flesh. Three different home-made slingshots and four different types of ammo are used against a 3 kg block of gelatine. The impact is recorded with a camcorder that records 1200 frames per second (super slow motion), so it is possible to watch the impressive and devastating hits in detail.
